The Winnipeg City Council is considering a pet ordinance which contains language that would ban the use of exotic animals in circuses.  Please contact the Mayor and the City Council members with short, polite emails to let them know you support circuses that use performing and exotic animals and request that they not support any proposal that would prevent circuses from being able to visit Winnipeg.  The Committee on Protection and Community Services is scheduled to vote on this issue on July 17, and if it passes the Committee, the measure will go to the full City Council for consideration. 

E-mails from residents and circus supporters in the Winnipeg area are especially encouraged.
