According to the office of State Senator John Eichelberger, the following language was approved by the Board of Commissioners and will become effective once they are published in the Pennsylvania Bulletin:
BUREAU OF WILDLIFE PROTECTION
ADOPTED RULE MAKING
A. Adoption of proposed amendments to Chapter 137, S. 137.1
Commentary: To effectively manage the wildlife resources of the Commonwealth, the Game Commission, at its October 6, 2009meeting, proposed the followng change:
Amend S. 137.1 (relating to importation, possession, sale and release of certain wildife) to exempt menagerie permit holders who possess of USDA Class C Exhibitor permit and who operate their menagerie facilities as their primary means of gaining a livelihood from possession and importation prohibitions of this section.
Recommendation: The Executive Director and staff recomment FINAL ADOPTION of this amendment to 59 Pa. Code as shown on EXHIBIT "A."
